Fees, rules, prices and contact details are traced to an official publication or to the organisation itself, and each carries the date we last checked it.
Re-checked on a schedule
Visa and legal claims are re-verified at least every 180 days, prices every 270, and contact details annually. When a claim passes its review date, our build fails until someone re-checks it.
No pay-for-ranking
No business can pay to be ranked higher or featured more prominently. Our recommendations are based on merit alone.
Fact-checked against official sources
We cross-reference Thai Immigration, Tourism Authority of Thailand, and official government publications.
How we research content
Every destination guide, visa explainer, and cost-of-living breakdown starts with direct, on-the-ground research. Our writers visit the places they write about, use the transport systems they recommend, and eat at the restaurants they suggest. When we can't verify something personally, we consult official Thai government sources, licensed immigration consultants, and established expat community resources.
We do not scrape content from other travel sites. We do not rewrite AI-generated text without human verification. Every sentence is reviewed by someone who has lived in or extensively traveled through Thailand.
Our update cycle
Thailand changes fast — visa rules shift, prices fluctuate, and new attractions open regularly. We follow a structured update schedule:
- Visa and legal pages: Re-verified against the issuing authority at least every 180 days, and sooner when we become aware of a policy change. Each page shows the date it was last checked, so you can judge for yourself how current it is.
- Cost of living data: Re-checked at least every 270 days.
- Destination guides: Reviewed monthly for accuracy. Major changes (new transport links, closed attractions) are updated immediately.
- Blog posts: Reviewed every 6 months. Outdated posts are updated or clearly marked.
Every page displays a "Last verified" date so you always know how current the information is.
Correction policy
We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error — a wrong price, an outdated visa rule, a closed business — please contact us. We investigate every report and correct confirmed errors within 24 hours. Significant corrections are noted transparently on the page.
